Set amidst the lush mountains of Shimla, a new show Peterson Hill will premiere on January 26 on Sab TV. Actor Rohit Roy, who plays the main lead, will enact the role of a station master Kishore Chadda, who believes in doing good deeds.
Says the actor, “The show had a different concept and a refreshing take on how simple people solve their problems. It is a satire, and I am doing something like this for the first time.” The fitness conscious actor admits that he had to put on weight for the role. “I had to put on weight to make the character look more endearing.”
Sucheta Khanna will play Kishore Chadda’s wife Pinky, a sweet and bubbly Punjabi lady of the household. Shatabdi (Mansi Srivastav) is the station master’s sister-in-law, a die-hard optimist with a firm belief in traditional values.
The station master’s parents, Ashok (Susheel Prashan) and Simi Chadda ( Navindra Bhel), are also fondly known as the dada-dadi of Peterson Hill station. Jwala Joshi (Samiksha Bhatnagar), a 31-year-old lady ticket collector, is on a perpetual lookout for an ideal groom. The extremely religious hawaldar, Anil Tyagi (Rakesh Srivastav), along with Jugnoo ( Prasad Barve), the soft-hearted pickpocket, lends a different flavor to the show.
The show includes a variety of colorful characters that live in and around the station as well as those traveling through it. Peterson Hill will air at 10.30 pm from Mon-Fri on Sab TV.
