Actor Rohit Roy advised “Lage Raho” or ‘stick to you endeavor’ to the actors who are likely to become a part of the industry. “Lage Raho is an anthem for us (actors). An actor’s career is strange, if one movie does well, another movie flops. This is the pattern of this industry. Many good actors do not get work for many years. And suddenly you become a known face when you are at the age of 40.” He said at the annual function of ITA School of Performing Arts.

Roy who is known for his role in Hindi television serials such as Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand and Swabhimaan said, “Keep on trying and don’t get disappointed. Do regular practice if you are a singer or actor. There is a saying ‘You have not failed till you stop trying’. I would like to say this to all young people. You should keep trying and once you become an actor, God will give you the avenue to showcase your talent. We all have gone through this stage.”

The actor also congratulated veteran actor Manoj Kumar for the Dadasaheb Phalke award, said the actor, “Despite his weak health he said that he will be present at the award. The zest he has for life is a big learning for us.”

Manoj Kumar best known for his patriotic films Purab Aur Paschim, Upkar and Kranti, will be conferred the award for his contribution to the film industry. The actor became the 47th recipient of the award, the highest recognition in Indian cinema.
