Saying time is premium in his hectic schedule, Rohit says he loves the work he is getting.

Unpredictability is the key to this show! Known for his acting skills and also seen as a host, having anchored a music talent hunt show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ (Zee) and now in the cricket based show ‘Extraa Innings’ (Sony), Rohit Roy will be hosting a new show ‘Wild Ten’ that will reveal his ‘other’ side – the side that lives life on the edge and is unpredictable.

It takes viewers through the experience of having fun but the wild way. “We travel to great destinations in India and abroad and it will appeal to the fun filled streak in all of us,” says Rohit.

Trying to shake off his nice guy image, Rohit will be seen in an all new avatar. “I get to be casual, fun, mischievous, free and there is no script. All that you see on the show will be real time candid comments as I travel to different places. “

“It is a very stylised show. It is made for the youth and that interests me as it connects me to an all new audience from the one that watches soaps. I anchored few episode of ‘Sa Re..’ only because I am fond of music and so does this show. Plus, I get to travel to exotic locations. This has all the ingredients that helps me fulfill my passions,” quips Rohit.

About the show, he says, “It’s a one hour theme based show that will showcase ten current songs of the week along with five picks of the week, namely ‘DJ pick’, ‘Regional pick’, ‘Viewers choice’, ‘Old is gold’ – ‘Retro and international pick’.”

As part of his signature Wild Ten style, Rohit will be seen as different characters.

“In the segment ‘Wild Fashion’, I will explore everything from wild clothes, accessories, funky hairdos, wild body art, tattoos and piercing in exotic stores. Also, when I go to Goa, I will be showing its wild spirit through its beaches, parties, people, funky flea markets and even adventure sports in air and water,” says Rohit.

Saying time is premium in his hectic schedule, Rohit says he loves the work he is getting. “I work round the clock. But I don’t get tired as the work is good and interesting.

My mind is racing as I go from one set to another but as I am enjoying my work, there is no sense of fatigue. Besides, as an actor when you get good feedback, all the labour that goes to make it happen takes a backseat. I know that all this hard work will not go wasted. My current television assignments will keep me busy till March-April next year. I will begin work in two films ‘Dus Kahaniya’ and ‘Alibaug’ soon,” says the actor who is all set to rock the small screen in his inimitable style in ‘Wild…’ that debuts on 4 November.
