The film MITTAL VS MITTAL which is due to release this Friday was mired in refusal by its lead actor when he was told about the rape scenes involved in the film.

When the director of the film Karan Razdan approached Rohit Roy with the script, the actor simply refused to be part of the project since he felt the rape scenes were too graphic and detailed for comfort. So, he simply refused to do the film.

Finally, the director managed to convince Roy to play the lead. Says Rohit Roy, “I had almost walked out of the film initially when I heard about the number of rape scenes involved. I think the director has used some of the most explicit rape sequences which made me sweat in the beginning. But, looking at the importance of the subject of marital rape that is so prevalent, I chose to do the film. I’m sure the audiences are going to get sensitized about this issue when they watch the film.”

The film deals with the story of marital rape and is fast becoming the campaign film of this issue.
